Is the Moto X Pure Edition XT1575 compatible with Verizon?

I have a Moto X Pure Edition (XT1575) and was using it on a prepaid plan from Verizon until 3 days ago.  I broke the screen and had to use a Samsung Galaxy S3.  I got my Motorola back last night and had to call into Verizon to help reactivate it.  The customer service told me that the Moto X Pure Edition wasn't compatable with the nano sim card I had in it.  Then they started questioning if the phone could be used with Verizon.  I then chatted with a agent and called again today.  I'm still getting the same answer.  I'm confused because I've used this phone and the nano sim that's installed before.  I know for a fact it works with Verizon because I used it until 3 days ago.  Is the Moto X Pure Edition in Verizon's database as a compatable phone?  Is this the reason for all the confusion with the agents I've been talking too?

With an active SIM you can insert it and more than likely have no problems at all. If it isn't loaded in their system I'm guessing it could send a flag to say the device isn't compatible or certifed for VZW. If you just swap the SIM you shoudl be fine. If you need to go from a 3FF to 4FF (nano SIM) see if they can just activate the SIM and then insert it into the device. That is all I can think of.

Thanks for the input. I'm gonna have to go to the nearest Verizon Wireless

Store and let them work it out for me. Best Buy activated it with Verizon

with no problems.

Unfortunately the experience you describe is likely from a lack of education about unlocked compatible devices for the Verizon Wireless network.

Did you have to activate a micro SIM card for a Galaxy S3 to get it on your prepaid account? If you were using the original nano SIM card from the Moto X 2015 pure edition with an adapter in the Galaxy S3, you should be able to move the SIM card back to the Moto X 2015 pure edition without trouble.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
