anniek, there was Mac 7.5 great operating system then there was 8 & 8.6 and then Apple announced Mac OS 9, oh man we couldn't wait to get it. Or Windows 2000 to XP, how great, gotta have it. It was so great for Apple and Microsoft to run out a new OS every year or so, everyone had to have the latest, which made them a lot of money.
But nothing really changed, they didn't reinvent the operating system, other than giving it a new look, or change the color.
So now Android 4 or 5 don't make much of a difference the new OS trend days are over about getting excited about. They have nothing spectacular going on.

Thank you, Salisbury.
I appreciate your insight and feedback. I'm not as upset about lollipop per se as I am about the fact that seven months ago I was told that this was an awesome phone with incredible battery life and it would get lollipop soon and it would be even better....
At the time of purchase, no one told me that I couldn't use data and make calls at the same time. I was thankful that that was resolved.
I feel like I've got the smartphone equivalent of the Ford Pinto--it was hyped as being awesome, but ended up being a disaster.

Vz tech support told me yesterday it is being rolled out now, area by area, not known when in my area, keep checking. Can also try via Motorola updater via your pc. If everyone got it the same day the server would get bogged down (people would complain) and so would tech support with questions/issues after everyone installs it.
I understood there were issues with 5.0 that Vz was not happy with, so rather than updating everyone with something known to have problems, they decided to wait for 5.1, make sure it's as clean as possible, then roll it out.
I don't like the wait, but would like a buggy update less.
So waiting . . . as patiently as I can . . .

I'm not sure I understand all the fuss about android 5.x...I love my Turbo
the way it is. I make video calls and use the sideboard all the time as
well as it is almost always 50% left on battery every night when I put it
on my wireless charger that came built in to the phone. My LG tab got the
5.0.2 update and I miss 4.4.4 that was on it. The Turbo is tough, fast and
a sharp phone. Leave it alone before it starts screwing up with bugs from
new os!

I what's up with my droid turbo because it was so buggy and lagging constantly I had reset it a couple times so I was hoping that the lollipop update would fix these issues then when I found out I had to wait longer and longer for that update I was frustrated so I called Verizon and was going to get the Galaxy S6 the VerizonTech coach asked me why I explained what was going on so he brought me through some stuff on my phone and help me to get it working like the day I bought li I have a renewed relationship with my droid turbo again and I'm very happy with it the way it is. It is again the fastest phone ive ever used. The update can take its time now
