LG 4G Lte speech to text

This question has most likely been asked and answered, but I am unable to find it... So I always used my talk to text (built into my phone not an added on app) and one day last week POOF the microphone icon on the key board is gone.  I've been in the settings and have Google speech to text checked. What else can I do to restore this much needed feature, or what did I do wrong? Please help as I am totally inept at regular texting. Smiley Sad

Which phone model?  Was there an update to the keyboard?  Can you try a different keyboard?  Have you gone through the settings for the keyboard app you are using?
