I hit something and now my L key is taking me to the calendar and my Y key takes me to You Tube. I have no idea how this happened, but need to know how to get back to the simple function of typing the letters. Any suggestions?

You can clear the short cut or arrange short cuts in a different way if you want to.
- Settings
- applications
- Quick Launch
- Tap the app you want to assign a letter to
- Hold your finger down on the desired section/app & tap "ok" to clear shortcut

Just to add, if it happens again, hit the search button twice, and it will get out of shortcut mode.
