how do i remove a widget from my home screen? I have an LG Ally.

Hold your finger down on the widget & drag the widget into the trash can.

where is the trash can?

Trash can is at bottom of the screen in red.

1. From the Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g. widget, shortcut, folder, etc.).
   
2. Drag the item to the trashcan (located at the bottom of the screen).
