LG Ally beeps in my ear after 2.2 update

Ever since I let VZ update my Ally to Android 2.2, when I am on a call, there is a distinct double beep, every 10 seconds. Nobody I am speaking to can hear it, so I know it's my phone. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can get rid of this beep? I have tried everything I can think of, and it's still there. Power cycle did nothing, and I can't find anything in the settings.

Please help me stop the beep.

You can perform a factory reset on your device. Performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications. You can backup your information on your SD Card.

1. From the Home screen, touch the applications tab (bottom of the screen).
    
2. Touch Settings.
    
3. Touch Privacy.
    
4. Touch Factory data reset.
    
5. Touch Reset phone.
    
6. Touch Erase Everything.
    
7. To setup the device, refer to Initial Activation and Setup for assistance.
