I have an HTC 10. It seems that every few moments the phone wants to find it's location. Once it finds it's location I get a notification in the notification tray that says 'Location Found'. This is very annoying. Is there a way to prevent this from happening without turning off the GPS? This didn't happen on my previous phones and now it's happening on this one.

I did this to stop the repeated notifications on my Galaxy S7. Your menu layout will probably be a little different.
Go to Settings > System > Accessibility > Notification reminder. Make sure it is turned off. You will then get only one notification sound.

Id recommend calling HTC, but it does seem like yes you will have to turn off your GPS.

Or you could set your Location to Battery Saving Mode which is perfectly good enough for general stuff. You only need it on High Accuracy when you are using Maps or any other app for GPS directions.

This requires turning off the gps which is something I didn't have to do with any of the other phones that I've had.

As a personal preference, I have chosen to leave the GPS on all the time for my devices. One reason is the Android Device Manager so it can locate those device when I need to.

Not to argue with you but I have mine set to Battery Saving and I was just able locate my device with Android Device Manager.
