I spoke with a few different tech support people at Verizon and they spent an hour fiddling with my account. Had me disable group texting and other settings, nothing worked.
There are a number of replies and discussion points in this thread, Dldf. We want to be sure we have a full understanding of your issue with messaging. Please tell us more about what happens, so we can work on a solution for you.

I get "Message expired or not available" on many messages. It happens randomly, and I've talked to tier 1 and 2 verizon tech support for this and they can't seem to figure it out.
It happens in the standard Android Message app, the latest version from the Google store. Textra works fine, but does not support RCS, so I can't use it. The google app is the only one that does RCS well, but since I've been on verizon I've had this issue. So either verizons implimentation of RCS is not great, or something else is going on.

I must say this is odd, Firebelly. I am sure we will figure out what is going on. I know you have spoken to several people already. I do appreciate your time and patience.
