A message comes up that message+ has connection through Wi-Fi services, why is that? Is it because there is IM or some other chatting app on my phone?

It means that VM+ is communicating via wifi instead of using the cellular network. Usually happens when connected to wifi and airplane mode is on, but wifi is on as well, or if you do not have a strong enough Verizon signal to communicate via network.

Ok. Does that mean, the message could b from an unknown source? What app can I use to find hidden info or hidden apps on a phone? Also why is there stuff on files that I can not see/open?

Or you can try Live Chat from the Contact Us page on any Verizon page online.
You can also try this link to LG support. You can call, email, or chat with them and also download a user manual.
