Anyone know why I have a triangle with an exclamation mark in it in my list of messages, next to a few of my contacts?

Messages that were not delivered, or there was an error?  I've got it next to one of my contacts, and have yet to find the errant message so I can clear the icon.  Search through the threads of messages for the contact that has the exclamation to see if you can find a message with a problem; delete that message and the icon should go away.
