Moto X Gen 2 serious lag! Anyone know whats going on and/or why?

Hope someone out here can help!

I had an Iphone 4, liked it, but didn't love it, i've always had Androids in the past, I decided to jump on the Apple bandwagon and give it a try. Since then I've switched back to Android. I purchased a Moto X gen 2 in february. It has been giving me nothing but problems. Lagging, restarts to the home screen. I tried to do pretty much everything humanly possible to fix/clear the issue. But is still has the problem.

That would certainly frustrate me! It's important that your phone works like it should. Did this start when you first got the phone or later? Does it happen when doing certain things or all of the time?
