How to I reboot/reset my Samsung Galaxy III android when the screen is frozen, and I am not able to turn the phone off?

Have you tried holding the power/volume down buttons simultaneously for 15-30 seconds, or removing the battery?

Thank you, tikibar1.  The problem was resolved when I removed the battery and reinserted it.  Thank you for your quick response and suggestion!  Debra
