"Will they introduce the device? No way we'll know until it happens but I'm betting IF they do it'll be a MINOR portion of their presentation. Seriously, with the new Windows phone released yesterday and the S4 available for pre-order the day after the announcement they're NOT going to soil their own sales by suddenly offering a new hero. The S4 will sell just fine on it's own, but with all the hype and anticipation leading up to the release they're not going to downplay it with a newer, better device. That's just business, folks."

So why is it ATT can offer all of the aforementioned phones and Verizon won't? The HTC One is not newer nor necessarily better. IMO it is, but there are lot of Samsung fanboys out there just like Applethat will still buy the S4 no matter what else is in the store. I think your interest in the HTC One is low, more like 15-20%. What with all the leaks of an HTC One comparable device going through FCC testing, and the likes I think it will be an announcement for the HTC One or it's Verizon variant.

Summit,

I have heard a lot of VZW HTC One (or DLX Plus) rumours/leaks.  However, one I have not heard was that such a device is going through FCC testing.  Do you have any links for that?  Thanks.

yeah, we talked about this before https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/794232?start=310&tstart=0

Unfortnately I did NOT find an FCC for the dlxplus (Verizon variant) but I pointed out that when the DNA (dlx) was found to have gone through FCC, it was released about two weeks later.

Yeah, the OTA info has been seen as well as it going through bluetooh -> http://www.droid-life.com/2013/03/11/verizons-htc6445lvw-cruises-through-bluetooth-sig-dlxplus-or-bi...

SO it's without a doubt we're getting close to a new HTC flagship.

@Funderbird,

I recall that OTA testing leak.  FYI, that's not the same as an FCC test, which is more publicly available.

@ Asaluki, I recall several posts discussing historical FCC test leaks of other phones (e.g. DNA ) vs. actual historical release dates of those phones as well as FCC leaks of non-vzw HTC One vs. it's release date as an indicator of imminent release.  But I still havent' seen any FCC leak for DLX.  Someone posted the link to the FCC stuff, perhaps I'll dig it up.

Well, the only link I found was @fortheloveoftech's post which included a link to an engadget post regarding an FCC leak for the HTC DNA: https://community.verizonwireless.com/message/955609#955609

I don't think there's been any leaked FCC reports regarding a VZW DLX PLUS, yet.

BTW, if you follow the engadget post to the FCC site you can see how they did it:

https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&called...=

Then they looked at the label sample and location attachment.  Pretty clever -- I have no idea how that got to that particular report page.  I tried various google searches and get a lot of hits -- pretty tedious to sort through.  I'll leave that to the pros. Smiley Happy.

I would love to have the HTC One RIGHT NOW!!!!!! The waiting is killing me. Today I went into AT&T for the 4th time just to play with the phone. Tomorrow I'm going to Verizon to check out the Nokia Lumia 928. My BlackBerry is 3yrs old & is soooooo slowwww! I don't know if I can wait for the HTC One any longer.

@random64 Aware of the difference between fcc testing and OTA testing. I was only posting the only article about testing I found. I dont think there was ever a post abput the phone being in FCC testing. I had previously posted that once FCC testing has been completed, Phonescoop typically posts the details: http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/new.php?m=f
