I recently purchased a Nexus 6 through Motorola. It took 3 days and and numerous phone calls and store visits to get the phone activated. I had to go as so far as to call customer service and request the cancel my service option before I got someone to activate the nano Sim one of the corporate stores gave me.
1. I did not try to activate this phone until the phone went up for sale on Verizon. It is sad they refused to activate a phone that is known to have all the proper antennas to work on the network.
2. I was told more then once Verizon will not activate a phone not purchased through Verizon. I don't even think that is legal. I can understand if the phone doesn't have necessary antennas but just because it wasn't purchased through Verizon. C'MON man!
3.Visual Voicemail: In the app description on the play store it says it is compatible with Nexus 6. There is a line at the top when you open the play store link that says not compatible with your device. This constant having to dial *86 and enter my pin is archaic.
The amount of hoop jumping I have had to has been horrendous. If it wouldn't be for your cellular coverage I would have left after the way I am being treated to use a device that you are selling and the premium price I pay for that service.
I hope that someone in Verizon is or will read this and it will save someone else from having the same issues I have had!

Next time wait and Buy it from Verizon. Its stated in about a million different places how to activate the phone before. You just need a correctly sized SIM(already activated) inserted into the phone. Thats it

I have the very same problem and I have not been able to make my device work in spite of having purchased it directly from Google USA. I spent more than 1 hour with different people on the phone and I consistently get the same message: your device is not compatible with the card (a new 4G nano SIM). It is really weird if you consider that Verizon started offering this same device a few days ago.
I am starting to think Verizon wants me to regret getting a phone from a supplier other than theirs. Obviously, I am not giving up after paying $700. Since I cannot move to a different phone service provider the corporate phone number I use, I will do so with my wife's, that I pay with my own earnings. Three days to go.

Dear Verizon Wireless Customer Support,
My login here is the same that is linked to my account. Please have someone review every time I called. I was told a form was filled out on Thursday to get my IMEI put into the system. I was later notified that because Verizon could not put my IMEI in the system they could not and would not activate a SIM for my device. This started Thursday March 12th on my lunch hour. I went to a Verizon Corporate store. I was not given the above answer until yesterday. I stopped at every Verizon Corp store in Lafayette, LA. And a cellular sales store. Unfortunately, I know no one with a nano sim device. I have 2 S5's and they are both micro sim.
There was one tech support person that rattled off all of the specs of the phone. He even stated that it was capable on all Verizon networks but the system would not allow him to activate the phone without the IMEI. It handed to be a Verizon branded device.
Please I encourage someone to investigate my case. If you can't contact me from login information on here. Tell me how to contact you to open an investigation into the matter.
Thanks!

I told you before in another thread... the Nexus 6 will not activate the sim as it doesn't have the files to activate the sim, and it wouldn't have mattered where you bought it from. I said use another device to activate it. So when would you like me to say I told you so? Isn't your XDA recognized developer friend going to help you now? I thought he had all the answers.

Just buy a sim adaptor for your S5 and activate the Sims then switch it to your Nexus 6. It's only $2 for the kit on Amazon or ebay.

I found out that my Nexus 6 works great with my wife's Verizon card, so the problem is not phone related but nano SIM related, that for some reason is not activated, and cannot be activated with my wife's phone (my wife's phone is a Moto X bought from Verizon). I will address the question of the nano SIM card rather than the Nexus 6 question, Thanks all for your help!
