This has been an on-going problem with the 5.0 update. No complete fix as been found yet for this, however in some cases simply by changing from the app your now using to another app  will solve your problem. Shut down your old message app and then install your new message app and set up.

I tried all 3 apps that come with my Galaxy 5S. Nothing seems to help. Can't send MMS.

JimFl, Let's get your messages going! What happens when you ry to send the MMS? Do you receive an error code/message? Which messaging application(s) are you using when trying to send. Please ensure your S5 is not connected to Wifi, then try sending again. Any change?

What happens is that for 15 to 20 minutes the apps say sending (Black white

lettering) lower right corner of message. Then it says message failed.

Later when the message thread is opened there is an exclamation point in a

black triangle next to the message image. This has been happening with all

three message apps. (Hangouts Verizon Messaging + and samsung messaging.

Today I tried again and the MMS went through. Don't know if this is

temporary (a few MMS did get through a couple of weeks ago but most failed.

(seems more like a network problem not necessarily a Lollipop problem.

The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S5. (SAMSUNG SM-G900V) Kernel version 3.4.0

Message + 5.5.1

Like I said above I really think that this is a network problem not a phone

or update problem. That I think has just been a coincidence

My phone (galaxy s5) did a system update this morning. Before, everything was fine. Received all my pics and texts fine no problem. Then after it system updated I cant receive my MMS txts. I know they are texts and not pics because we send really long texts that turn into multi media messages. When it was sent I just received an error message reading message cannot be downloaded and when I went to the message there isn't even a download button. Ive tried the turn on and off of WiFi and mobile data and nothing works. How do I fix this? Or even uninstall the latest update???

mmedi022,

Oh no, let's get these MMS back in business! Have you tried to send a regular picture message? Are you experiencing issues with MMS everywhere or just one location? Are your calls and regular text working okay?

Yes pictures are working regular calls and texts are working. My default messenger is the version messages one and it doesn't work there. Tried switching to the other message app and that doesn't work either

You could very well be right about it being a network problem.

I don't believe for one moment that it's a hardware (phone) problem. Not when there are countless fellow customers who know how to go into an app's settings and know how to configure it just the way they want it configured.
