North Texas move to Frontier effects data plan because it does not use WIFI

Over the past week, we lost internet service in the Denton area for several hours.  WIFI was very shaky.  Cell phone showed connected but when tried to download email.  it would just clock.  Only when Allowed cellular back on my phone it worked.  This chewed up my Data Plan to almost double.  I am assuming this has to do with Frontier taking over FIOS.  Anyone else having this issue?

Looking for Answers to call the right people to get it fixed.

Thanks

You have to contact Frontier about the outage. The Verizon Wireless company has nothing to do with the landline internet business.

What does your phone say used the most data on cellular during the outage? Did you restrict yourself to use your data sparingly?

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

when internet's down, so is wi-fi.

seems that it would've been a good time to stop using the phone but you didn't & now you're complaining about using up a lot of data.
