About 30 days ago my Razr Maxx HD started rebooting. I have gone through and cleaned cache, cleaned storage of data, I have run speed and efficiency apps...I have deleted apps I am not using. Checks show I have plenty of RAM and Data space remaining. I went through this morning and CLEARED CACHE on apps again per instructions here....going to browse in FireFox to test results....REBOOT. Sometimes it will do it back to back 3 times...but usually when I need the phone is when it reboots. On a trip this past weekend and I could only use MAPS for couple minutes to find my way..so would write down directions/turns quick before it rebooted and used odometer to remember turns. Made 4 hour drive home very frustrating. I have tried everything I have seen online...
The bigger problem is I leave on a trip at end of this month and will be gone for 10 days....and worried it will cause issues if I need it as will be in rural areas and potentially alone quite a bit so if an emergency will not have a way to get help reliably.
My contract is up near end of June for my next upgrade...but worried to wait that long with me heading to upper midwest in less than three weeks. Any help!!!!?????

You might ask about Early Edge, or maybe borrow an unused phone from another Verizon family member, and if you do not want to buy a new phone now or try for Early Edge, you might buy used off Swappa.com. Last idea is to Factory Reset the phone BEFORE you leave.

I will either buy my phone or deal with it for the trip. Just did a factory reset and started again so going to delete more apps and see what happens.

Well reboot of phone continued until I stuck it in Airplane mode in Canada to keep roaming charges to minimum. Every time I needed to send a text and activate service it would usually reboot. Since I was not able to upgrade early without significant cost (eligible on 25 June 2015) before my trip I went with it.
What a mistake.... first I had issues as my bank shuts down my account if activity is noted in Canada...they are on block list apparently. Phone kept rebooting while I was trying to get hold of rep in emergency services so I would be able to get my room, rental, and pay for needs for next 8 days.....what a pain!
Then with it in airplane mode it seemed to settle down...but on way home it started rebooting again when I got to Minn-StPaul Airport and was able to turn it back on for voice and data. It rebooted and took 5 minutes to reboot...then it did it again and got stuck on the Droid lightning eye! It stayed like this for next 6 hours until battery died.
When I finally made it home I took out SIM card and SD cards...tried to reboot without SD inserted. No luck. Then took eraser and cleaned contacts of SIM and SD and installed. No luck. Left it plugged in and rebooting when I went to work.
Because I was not able to get the rebooting error fixed prior to leaving for my trip that I had planned for over 15 years....I am scared all of my pictures taken and videos on the device from this trip are lost.
If I can get it into safe mode or to work ONE TIME I am going to pull everything off it. I know I have it set to back up contacts and stuff....but without having data service in northern Saskatchewan I doubt it was set to back up data.
Is there any way I can check to see if that data from INTERNAL STORAGE was backed up. After I did the FACTORY RESET before leaving it started putting all my pictures and video on internal rather than the SD card...likely due to it only being 2GB.
Any ideas other than trying to WIPE CACHE PARTITION and then get it into SAFE MODE?
Can anyone recover data from DCIM folder???? This is horrendous. I will never get another Motorola product. This thing started with the constant reboots and now this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was ready to go to T-Mobile with their buy out program after this debacle and seems like Motorola and Verizon are either unable to fix or unwilling since most seem to happen a month or two prior to upgrade...so easier to let us buy or wait it out than fix it. This is getting really old.
