I have been receiving a large number of scam phone calls. Verizon only allows 5 phone numbers to block. I am almost at my limit. Does anyone know what other options there are to block the calls. On my old phone, I had ringtones that included silent and blocked, but I can't figure out if there is a way to do that with this phone.

Verizon has a paid version for $4.99 a month. It blocks 20 numbers, it also blocks unknown callers etc. It has a new name something like Family Safeguard or usage controls.
Good Luck

If someone calls and I don't know the number then I just send the call on to VM. If it is something important they will leave a VM and can be called back. In the evenings I just answer the call when they start talking I lay the phone down on the table and continue watching TV and when they figure out what was going on they hang up and maybe take you off their calling list. I don't get many of these calls anymore.

After three rings my dog starts to do a wolf howl, then I answer the phone and let him do all the talking.

You can not stop them, You can report them, but they spoff the number and the location. Ihave tried reporting, Yes the 5 calls blockagre is nice but soon fills up. My landline phone has more but it filled up in lst then 4months. I loved theone from a guy who wanted me to send $400.00 I owed a bank in CA. and then asked for my SSN so They could sue me. If a I owe a bank, they already got my SSn. Needless to say this 76 year old hang up.
