Software Update Fails on Razr Maxx HD (XT926)

My OTA updates are failing.  Every single time.  The update installs to about 30% then I get the Android robot on his back with a red exclamation triangle.  I've done two factory resets and no change.  I've even tried booting into "Factory" mode from the bootloader screen (Volume rocker Up + power button).

Info on my phone:

  • 9.18.79.XT926.Verizon.en.US system version
  • 4.1.2 Android version
  • VANQUISH_BP_100730.160.64.15P Baseband version
  • 3.0.31-g101ca72 kernel version

Verizon's software update instructions simply say to "Contact" tehm in the event of repeated update failures.
