I agree the Z2 is the device I like most this year (so far), Dear Verizon, please don't let the Xperia Play be the most recent Sony device you have supported.

Reports have been all day there is a CDMA banded Z2 variant that passed through the FCC today
Sony Xperia Z2 D6508 for release late April...Has full CDMA and VoLTE support
Thank God I will buy this phone and keep my Verizon plan instead of switching to AT&T to get the GSM variantthat passed through under the AT&T bands on Monday... Verizon leading from Behind

I researched the sony z compact and i dig that phone. Where i live tmobile or att will serve me just as well vzw. I prefer tmobile over att. So if tmobile gets that phone i'll give leaving vzw some serious thought.
Nothing personal vzw, it's just obvious that you folks refuse to accept that apple, samsung, motorola, casio, and htc are not the only oems out there that make top notch phones.

I heard Verizon exclusivity for the phone, which I have wanted since seeing it at MWC, though not until September of this year. Which, honestly, sucks.

Dropping your phone, probably doesn't help the circuitry either, hence the memory lag, etc..

Verizon will only bring this phone to their network if a strong demand is shown for the device. That's the only reason they brought the IPhone to their network. It has incredible consumer demand
To me, Sony seems outdated and has left a bad taste in my mouth with many of their products as they let quality control slip over the years. I recently bought a 55" Flat Panel TV and Blu-Ray DVD Player. They are Samsung branded products. I "zoomed" right past Sony.

I fully disagree with this. Apple had to make one that Verizon could use first. It wasn't Verizon's choice. People on Verizon clamored for one, so Verizon and Apple got together. If there has to be serious interest in a phone, why are there so many lame phones still in their stores?
The phone has to be a CDMA phone available for Verizon to use, otherwise no Verizon version.

Ok, so I recently called Verizon & they still have absolutely no information on this device; Nor does Sony. People will end up just waiting to purchase the Z3. Then again who knows how long it will take after the Z3 is "launched" before it is really "launched"... This cryptic waiting game is extremely frustrating & it is putting me off of Sony entirely!!!! I will never purchase a device that has no concrete release date! Im going with HTC ONE M8 because of all this!
