Having the same trouble with a brand new phone. Button's also not being pressed during the call.

This seems to be a little odd. When did your phone start having this issue? Have you installed any new third party application such as a battery saver, task killers, task managers, anti-virus (ex: AVG or Lookout), fast or quick reboot applications? Do you get any kind of pop up that comes up on the phone when the volume goes down? Keep us posted.

As stated this is a brand new phone purchased on the 14th, no app's had been downloaded at the time of this trouble. After the full charge of the battery, we tried using it & ran into this trouble. It has since lined out on the volume trouble. But it does have some problems letting us answer when a call is coming in,the phone does not respond to pressing the buttons. This trouble is not all the time, it just seems to get in its moods. We have rebooted, an there are no pop-ups.
This is just a guess. On some android devices there is an automatic lowering and raising in the call sound settings.
It raises in noisier environments and lowers automatically, there is low ring or volume adjustment on picking up the device or placing next to your ears.
Turn off the automatic control and then turn the sound up for the volume. Again this is just a guess.
The device also uses a sensor that blacks out the screen and or turns the screen on when within a certain range.
Again this shut down or wake up may be a factor.
The owners manual for the device may be of help. However no one here is saying what device they own other than its a android. Oh well.

Not to just jump into someone elses thread but I am also having an issue with the call volume dropping. Phone is about two weeks old and seemed to work fine up until Sun. 3/16. Took a call in a noisy room and was unable to hear the caller unless they yelled into their phone. Since then all calls coming in have diminished volume. Took a business call yesterday and could not make out most of what the caller was saying. I have the volume control turned all the way up. All tones seem to be at the proper volume and only seems to effect the volume on in coming calls. This can certainly not remain this way we need to know how to rectify the issue ASAP !!
