Absolutely no difference. It's just a shell. Since you're obviously never going to get around to making a valid point I'm going to quit hijacking the OP's thread. You keep flailing away though, it is entertaining.

For a couple of files I will use email to send them to myself.

I will also transfer files over wifi with the Estrongs File Explorer and setting up an FTP server with my laptop. File quality doesn't change.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I've tried the USB method, but I can't find my pics. I've gone thru every folder that comes up, but my pics aren't there...

Once you're connected pulldown the notification area --> Tap 'USB Connection' then tap "USB Mass Storage"

On your workstation you will probably see 2 drives, it's usually the highest letter of the two. Once in there you're looking for DCIM --> Camera

BELIEVE IT OR NOT---

I HAVE NOT TRANSFERRED PHOTOS YET.

I HAVE 700 PHOTOS TO DO SOMETHING WITH.

CAN I PUT THEM DIRECTLY ON A DVD? OR SHOULD I TRANSFER TO COMPUTER AT THIS TIME?

ALSO WHEN I TRANSFER--DO I LOSE PICS ON MY SD CARD?

THANKS

Whether or not you 'lose' them from your CD card depends on what you do. If you copy them, then no, they will be in both places, if you move them, then yes, they will be gone from the SD card. You'll have to put them on a computer in order to burn them to DVD.
