Unable to use authentication code on second device

I have a new Samsung phone. Message plus working fine. My lap top and desk top now ask for me to input authentication code. When I hit verify, it gives an error message. Have uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. Help.

Gotcha thanks for clarifying. Have you been able to uninstall and reinstall the program? Also are you able to view Message + online? https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-94861/ This is a new way of viewing your messages.
