Unfair pricing for loyal customers verses new customers

Can anyone explain to me why new customers get lower plan pricing then us. It shows that new customers can get the Do more plan for $45.00 with APO and $55.00 for Get more with APO. We have been customers for almost 20 years and have not been unhappy with our service or plan pricing, but I recently found out that we pay 55.00 and 65.00 for the same plans with APO. I tried chatting with a billing agent and they were of no help. All he wanted to do was reasure me that I was getting my APO discounts and would not tell me why we as loyal existing customers could not get the plan pricing they advertise. I really don't think that it is unresonable to pay the same price as new customers.

Oh my goodness that was painless. When I spoke to the billing agent it wasn't about the price, he was the one that brought it to my attention. I asked him numerous times to make sure I understood him and he said yes I was correct with the understanding new customers get a lower rate. He made no mention that the rate changes depeding on how many lines you have. I knew something didn't seem right with what he was saying so thank you for your time and clarification.

Where are you seeing it says new customers for those prices unless this page is out of date.    Mary

It was the verizon agent who told me that pricing is for new customers

Maybe so something new.    I would walk into a corporate store or best buy and ask.  They used to give a pamphlet with pricing.    We are paying what the website shows with AOP and we are not new customers.  Mary

Hello jkayne04,

There is absolutely no difference in our plan pricing if you are a new or existing customer. The plans are the same price regardless. Depending on how many cell phone lines you have on your account, however, will determine the per line price. When you click this link, you can choose how many cell phone lines you have and it will show the price with the AutoPay discount: https://www.verizon.com/plans/unlimited/ If you have 3 cell phone lines on your account, The Do More price is $55 a line with AutoPay discount and the Get More is $65 with the AutoPay discount. If you add a 4th lines, the cost per line drops by $10. Does this help clarify things?

In August of 2023 new customers are definitely getting better deals than existing customers. A new customer porting in 4 lines and bringing their own devices will get a promotional credit making the cost of the Unlimited Plus plan $30/line with a 3-year price guarantee. Existing customers must pay $42/line, 40% more, when switching to that plan from any other plan. Same plan. Same number of lines. Very different pricing.
