My wife is in Italy with her Samsung galaxy s3. we set the phone up for global service before she left. she is only using the hotel WiFi (that is free!!).
Everything worked well until last night (we were able to email and Skype)
last night she could not Skype me and I could not Skype her
She is now getting the message: VZWAVService has stopped
on another message board I read that this is a bug in Google+ update and I told her to uninstall that update

Im sure that it is important to keep in contact with your wife while she is gone. Sorry to learn that she is now having issues. Has she tried to power the phone off, remove the SIM and then start it up again? That may help.
