What to do when android app on google won't download because it says not compatible with my tablet?

I try to download the BankAmerica mobile app and google tells me it is not compatible with my android Samsung tablet.  It always worked in the past but stopped working a few days ago.  I decided to delete it and re - download to see if that would fix it.   Instead I got the message.  Now what do I do?

Sounds as if they updated the app and they set it to either not be compatible with the tablet (as some apps are restricted in this way) or it is just no longer compatible with the device type. There is really no way around this as this is entirely dependent on the developer in the way they have designed the app and/or set it to be compatible with some but not other devices....

You can contact the developer to see if they can refer you to a resource that has an older version of the app that would still work with said device or you can do a Google search for "BankAmerica APK" that will hopefully pull up alternate areas to download the  .apk file (the package needed to install the app on the device). If you  do this, pay attention to version number and work your way back until  you find one that works with device.

I would call them and tell them what happens when you try to download their app.

Just curious, which Android OS is the tablet running? If you go to Google Play and pull up the app, it should say which versions of Android the app is compatible with. If all else fails, you could go to BoA's website and access the features that way.

If the OS is very old, and, no updates are forthcoming, consider upgrading the tablet to a newer model. Smiley Happy

The app page gives the developers email as mobilehelp@bankofamerica.com.

This is the correct answer.  Only the app developers can make their apps work with devices of their choice.
