I too am having this issue. Mine is a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The first duplicate text was at 9:12pm on Monday, April 4. Every text I receive from a single individual comes as duplicate. My group texts that come in are fine and only deliver once. I have read several other people's answers and tried each one and it is still happening. I have no other messaging apps on my phone except the Verizon messaging app, I have cleared the cache for that. I have uninstalled it and restarted. Still happening. What can i do try now?

WDCookie, we appreciate your efforts thus far. We're stepping in to help. Did you recently update the software on your device? Let's make sure that this isn't a memory capacity issue. Try deleting all unwanted text messages on your phone. Next, power your phone off/on to sot reset it.

I deleted messages after checking my storage. That shouldn't be it.
Restarted. Still duplicate messages.

Me too. But only from some services. For example, I have a web form that sends text notifications to me when a form is completed (JotForm). I get all responses twice. JotForm went over all me settings and say it is all correct and not on their side, that it must be carrier.
