Why should VZW be allowed to charge a $2 fee for paying them?

People, Please express your feelings here, VZW, you may think you need money, but you get plenty, from us, from all the generic network sales for the 3rd party provideres, and the markets you sell products. you charge more taxes than anyone else, your service may cover a good area, but the more and more you people keep digging into pockets the sooner it will be before your bankrupt and AT&T or someone buys you out. Please keep a good reputation VZW, start being reasonable for your services and products. There are many people that are giving up on VZW, due to these recent changed plans, pricing, and fees.

Well my comment is VZW is NOT going to charge this. The plan died less than 24 hours after they announced it.

There is a press release stating this dated Dec 30, 2011

As for taxes, local, county, state and federal jurisdictions determine tax rates. VZW simply is the collector.

verizon collects the EXACT same tax rates as every other carrier. it is law. if another carrier is charging a smaller rate, then they are in violation of local tax laws. now if a plan on verizon costs more than on sprint, then yes, the taxes will be higher since 2% of $150 is more than 2% of $100.

Where have you been?  They cancelled this change at least three or four weeks ago, a few days after they made the announcement that they were going to do it.
