Why won't VZW give us access to Google Wallet?

I don't understand why VZW insists on making us choose ISIS as our mobile payment platform. If their customers want to use Google Wallet (which many of us do) then they should give us access to it. I love the service and customer support that I have received with Verizon over the past 12 years, but with the delayed roll out of Android updates, and the fact that I can't get apps that are available to other S3 owners, I am starting to lose my patience.

It is simple economics. VZW and a couple other providers paid some moola to have their own payment system and I am sure by having their own, the return per transaction is bigger for VZW and the others by having their own system.

In addition this allows VZW and the others to be able to view the purchases and see the buying habits. Using Wallet, Google gets that info.

Well good news. The FCC is looking at Verizon for its anti-trust practices.  Here's hoping they are slapped with a fine so large they will never do anything like this again.  And for all you nay-sayers saying its not their fault, it wont work on the phone, sprint is exclusive, blah blah blah....

1.google wallet works on the same phone on a different network.

2.there was a brief time where it was able to be installed but verzion "broke" it due to security concerns. which they later denied. stating an incompatibility issue

3.If it was exclusive to sprint, verizon would have stated in the response to the FCC, not an incompatibility issue.

4. why will it work when people do certain things with their phone that i cant go in to due to forum regulations? if the phone doesn't work why will it work after that is done?

5. Verizon also stated that if Goggle did certain things to get approval it would be allowed. again. if it was a phone issue this wouldn't even be an option

6. why is it that the networks making ISIS block it google wallet and the ones not involved allow it.

okay.

First, google wallet working on a Samsung Galaxy S3. its common knowledge it works on sprint so no need to "Prove" that.

Verizon Telling Google to keep it off their phones

http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-57337210-94/verizon-blocks-google-wallet-on-galaxy-nexus/

It used to work but now it doesnt

http://www.androidcentral.com/google-wallet-no-longer-working-verizon-galaxy-nexus

cant link the how to do it currently since it invloves breaking the security of the phone

Verizon blames google for use of secure element and vague statments of "special process"

http://www.nfcnews.com/2012/12/14/verizon-reports-blocking-of-google-wallet-over-secure-element-requ...

verizon blamming google for need of the secure element chip in the phone

First, why hasnt verizon said ANYTHING about a rumored deal with sprint/google over an exclusive deal.  spring and google might be bound by a NDA but verizon isnt.  second why does the EXACT same phone have wallet on sprint but not Verizon. Until i see proof there is a reason why it works there but not here i will blame verizon for wanting to prevent google from getting a foothold until ISIS can be launched nationwide and gains a following. since people would be less likley to switch then.

I test drove a Sprint G-Note II and I hear that it will get Google Wallet support very soon.  This combined with the poor implementation of the multi-window feature (Sprint's has more apps that I commonly use like Facebook, Twitter, and Google Talk) has me considering jumping ship to Sprint.

not worth the time investment. think about how many calls this would generate into a call center, and really it doesn't gain any customer base

people already call verizon for manufacture issues, more calls isn't the answer
