Why won't my device stay on?

SIII SCH-1535 :

My phone will not stay on when not connected to power (charger or usb). Battery indicates 92% charge.

Same behavior in SAFE MODE

Sometimes if I start it and just let it sit it will power up to the Verizon splash screen the restart over and over..never gets to the Lock Screen.

Suggestions??

i always charged my samsung phones when off with the wall charger.

Having battery problems can be a bummer. Let's put you back in charge of your phone. Does your phone have any issue when you aren't plugged in? Any restarts or anything like that?

Phone was defective the battery tested OK at VZ store. Phone was replaced at no charge. Thank you verizon. S4 is much faster and brighter screen good in sunlight the SIII was not.
