I don't miss the headphone jack on my note 10 plus.  My son got me the nicest wireless ear buds, so much better than having a cord.  I needed storage so love having 256gb.  All depends on what suits you.

Can't say for sure that GSM vs cdma doesn't matter anymore but this article says it may not. Don't know if Verizon fully transitioned voice to all LTE.

https://www.verizon.com/articles/what-are-phone-bands-and-why-do-they-matter/

The bands the the phones work on are important. You need a phone that at least has the correct bands for the network you are on. Many phones has bands that can connect to any carrier network. But it is more optimal to have more bands that can connect to the carrier network for things like network congestion I suppose.

Too many times my Bluetooth earphones are out of battery.

Need the ability to be on long calls with earphones and the ability to charge my phone. USB to earphone adapters can't do both yet - at least with an sort of reliability. And then you need to stash adapters around so you have them.

My ear buds last for hours before needing put in the case to charge.  My son got me good ones, he knows me well.  I also had these first and battery time is 15hrs and they are super nice and comfy and last long for the money.

Hi Jason

I saw you answer Acey on the A52 issue.  I also am interested in the A52 - have to go unlocked.  Would the Sim chip from a Galaxy S8 work for a swap? Or is it too old?

Hello, Marek12. Yes an unlocked Galaxy A52 model number: SM-A525U1 will work on our network. You'll need to get a new 5G SIM card to support the Galaxy A52 on our network. Thank you.

OMG ..... I opened this Question on May 11th 2021 and finally on  July 29th 2021 someone from Verizon actually answers the question that apparently a lot of us had/have. Thank you so much to AlanS from Verizon Customer Support, for actually supporting the customers and answering a question, without making us ask more questions.

Well, I hope you didn't pull the trigger on the A52 5G.  AlanS from Verizon, did answer you question and the A52 WILL work on the Verizon network, however, because you did not ask the correct question, VZW does not feel the need to responsibility answer the question:  Will the A52 work WELL on their network.  The answer is determined by your service area.

This unlocked device does NOT have ALL the frequencies for consistently, RELIABLE LTE  Voice.  It is missing the B13 frequency which prompted the "Can you hear me now?" Ad campaign because VZW owns a lot of blocks in the 700 mhz band and they have built the brand around largest and best.  B13 will just transmit a long way compared to the B2, B4, and B66 frequencies ( the other 3 LTE frequencies that Verizon uses).

So what does this mean:  Simply, if in your service area, you  can connect to the network, you may not see as strong of signal that you once had.  If you are mobile with your mobile phone, you will experience more frequently dropped calls as you move between towers and exceed the assigned band's transmission range which is problematic mostly in suburban/rural areas where the towers are fewer and more distant because cellular traffic density does not require more radios. Less towers and radios to handle traffic means less capital invested in structure and less expense supporting the structures.

Less of an issue on this device is a lack of  3G CDMA technology unless you happen to venture way out west where there is still a reliance on this tech for alarm systems and very sparse population.  But, even there the CDMA networks are being decommissioned and converted to 4G LTE systems.

All in all, a flagship device that supports all the tech and frequencies that Verizon may use now and in the future or a VZW variant of the A-series is probably your best bet for a happy experience.

Good luck,

Kevin
