Okay, can anyone enlighten me on processes that seemingly crank up at random, including ones that have never been used. In particular, the most glaring example is the corporate email app. Not used, not configured, yet I'm finding it again and again in Taskiller. Are these integral to other processes in the system? Can I block the ones I know I'll never use, i.e. corporate email? Or should I be looking to block the start of these items until called upon?

The way that it often works is that once you go ahead and use an app, it starts an application and usually starts all applications in relation to it. Why this occurs, I'm not too sure. But it happens generally because it prepares itself for multitasking functions.
I don't know really a way to consistantly leave it off, like something you would do in Windows, but if you need a quick way to stop all programs, I suggest Advanced Task Manager's widget, just click once and forget about it.

I can understand echo process from apps I've started, but consider the corporate calendar. I've found it running multiple times today, though not only have I not used it but I've not used the standard calendar either. It's not a big deal killing the task, but it's just weird. I know, I know, it's a brand new OS so [edit] and learn already.

Oh give me a little more credit than that
I can't give you a real answer as to why they tie into each other, or why these processes keep desultorily appearing, my best guess was because of the way it prepares to multitask, if anything. But, I'm sure that with a little bit more research I can find out. Give me a few days, I've got a plethora of a list to sort out along with trying to think about making a video as well.
