It shouldn't but just as an FYI if you are willing to spend $20, there is a great app for accessing corporate email that doesn't force encryption of your entire phone (if you company did so) and also doesn't force their policies on your phone, it is solely limited to the application. After encrypting my entire phone for corporate email access a few devices ago I decided to seek out other options and found Touchdown for Smartphones (now owned by Symantec). It is only a one time cost but well worth it to maintain a nice separation between work and personal use. The security policies are fully enforce within the app but not outside the app. The app requires pin code access (or whatever policy your company requires), it encrypts any attachments opened and immediately removes them when done, it allows the application to be remotely wiped (and optionally your sd card at your option). Our IT department uses it on their phones actually as do I. It fully supports email, contacts, calendar, tasks, etc.
