Thank you for the suggestion, but that is how my phone is set up.  The chat session I had with VW admitted that for prepaid customers that the feature is removed.   Not VW visual voicemail, but that they also prevent the Pixel 3 from displaying the notifications.  How and why they do this is a mystery to me.
