Sound as though you do not have the drivers installed. If they were, once you hooked the two together, you should 1) get a new letter for a new drive on your computer. This would be your cell phone's SD card, and 2) a trident looking icon in the left part of your notification bar on your cell phone. This is the USB connection. So, as I said before, you can go to the Motorola site and download the proper driver for the USB connection specifically for your cell phone.

Maybe the cord is defective after all though I used it this AM. As for the
downloads, Both were done, a complete/installed sign showed. BUT the USB
never shows. I am tired now., Tks for your help, though.

If you have another cord, try it. If not, try to borrow a cord. Yes, you may have a bad cord. It happens. Especially if you downloaded and installed the driver.
