Switched from iphone to android... I'm not getting Imessages because sim is registered to iPhone. How do i get it changed to android.

If you no longer have the iPhone, you may turn off iMessage using this website: Deregister and Turn Off iMessage - Apple Support

the i-phone can still be used on wi-fi.

You phone number is still registered with the Apple ID.  It isn't a special SIM card.  You need to deregister the phone number from iMessage.

Ann154, I getting ready to move over to the Galaxy from an iPhone. How would I unregister the phone number from iMessages? I anticipate I'll have it happen and just need to know what to do. THX.
