kitkat 4.4.4 su6-7.2 made my droid maxx (droid turbo) unuseable

Yesterday I installed operating system update (su6-7.2 to android version 4.4.4) and now having problems so major that phone can't even be used.

I can't switch between open apps because "recent apps" doesn't work when I select it. However, several times per minute the phone will flash to the recent apps listing & back to active app. The problem is worsening so that all the phone does now is vibrate and switch between home screen and "no recent apps" message.

I'm just about to walk out the door on a long road trip and REEEALLLYY need my phone. Is there any way to UNINSTALL UPDATE? Or do I have to do a factory reset?

You cannot roll back that small update but try this BEFORE you factory reset.
