looking for best method for internet access on the road on my laptop

Yesterday I purchased the jetpack mifi 8800L and was told what store to pick it up at. When I went to pick it up the store was closed INDEFINITELY.

3 or 4 hours later I got an email saying my order was canceled for not picking it up in the allotted time.

So I contacted chat support and explained that I would like to reactivate the order. So after 30-40 minutes online with chat the agent told me that these units were no longer in stock ANYWHERE. Bravo Verizon! You ruined my Sunday.

And now I'm reaching out to see if anyone has any good alternatives. I need internet access on my construction jobsites. Will mostly be exchanging emails, product research, product orders. Not a lot of data exchange. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Jetpacks are kind of a scam anyway, the cancelation was ironically a good thing. This way, you don't have to worry about a 2 year contract for mediocre service.

Better idea would be using the hotspot from your phone. Same 15GB LTE from Do/Play more and same 30GB LTE from Get more.

Thanks Tigerstep

Is that all I have to do is turn on Mobile hotspot in settings? Or is there more?

We are saddened to hear about this unfortunate situation. However, we are happy to recommend our current models. I have attached a link below. My recommendation is the MHS900L.

Our goal is to ensure you have all the information that you need, PHIVAN47. We can provide the steps for setting up Hotspot if needed. What is the make and model of your device?
