I can appreciate wanting to be sure your phone is completely secure jp@joes. Has your phone been misbehaving in any way? Are you using a 3rd party virus scanner or are you using VZ Protect?

bryans_vzw, The OP said they were using AVG Anti-virus.

The AVG might be flagging the VZ protect app as a false positive. I don't use VZ protect on my phones. I actualy disable that piece of bloatware and several others. I have use AVG and other anti-virus apps on my phones throughout the years without issue.
