Can you use a bigger micro sd card that recommended by manufacture? example 64 gb in a 32 gb slot????

Interesting, I would answer the opposite way, generally yes!
I currently have 64GB SD card in my Droid 4, official max 32GB. It also works in my Samsung Renown (official max either 16 or 8, can't remember) and a 32GB card works in the HTC Incredible II (max 16) haven't tried the 64GB
I've only had one failure, an old GSM Moto RIZR (not Verizon), had a max of 2GB and an 8 GB card didn't work in it. So I would suggest you give it a try!
Edit: 64GB cards have a different format, but formatting them first on a computer works fine. Might not always work trying to format first in the phone.
