: When I place a call on my cell, the screen immediately goes to nothing more than a red button to swipe to end the call. I no longer have the speakerphone option ,which makes having a cell phone in the car senseless.

Adam,
In the middle of a call on Friday it switched back to normal. I dislike
this phone immensely and wish I hadn't let the Verizon representative talk
me into it, especially for 2 years!
Honestly, I'm exploring options to end our plans with Verizon. The rates
are absurd, and take away from what we initially got our phones for. My
husband and I are both Verizon mobile customers (two separate accounts) as
well as Verizon residential and we pay Verizon well over $300 a month for
products and services which are no where near that valuable.
I know this is not your fault, just the company that you work for.

HHBurdick, I know that would concern me just the same and we're here to help figure this out. We may need a little more information from you to get started. What model of device are we working with? Since you started experiencing the issue have there been any changes to the device? Software updates, application downloads, or damage to the device?

HHBurdick I know it's frustrating to have trouble with your device. We apologize for the trouble, but glad the device is now up and running! Your business means everything to us and we don't want to see you go! We'll find the best deal! What plan are you on? Average usage? http://vz.to/1mgoPDr

Sounds like something within the dialer app (system app) has gone awry. While this isn't a normal thing for most phones to do, when it happens its a fluke and usually doesnt happen again. I wonder if you are in a position to do a factory reset. When it comes to system apps that you cannot download, usually thats the only step to take before a warranty exchange.
