why does LGK8V disconnect from internet when not plugged into charger?

why does LGK8V disconnect from internet after about 15 minutes if it is NOT plugged into the charger?  can I purchase a portable charger, connect it to phone and prevent this from happening?

Great question kathrynpgrecia. With the device running on the battery it sounds like it's trying to save and preserve the battery based on your phone settings. You absolutely can purchase a portable charger if needed.
