This was a very tough decision for me and I have flip flopped a hundred times but I think I have finally decided to wait to see what this summer brings. I have waited 4 years what's another 5 months. Although I know that I am going to be **bleep** if they don't offer the iphone 5 to Verizon right away. Oh well.

I'm waiting to Summer to see if the 5 with 4G/LTE comes out. No sense in buying a 4 that may be obsolete in 4 months.

I am willing to put money down it won't happen until next year. 5 will be on AT&T and GSM first, and then CDMA late in the year. This has been the trend for Apple since the FIRST iPhone. January/Feb is probably Verizon's release date. China got theirs before Verizon did and it wasn't released the same time as any GSM iPhone.

No, if I want to switch to the iPhone 5 then I can sell my iPhone 4 on eBay and use the money towards it. But, I'd rather not pay more for 4g when my area may not even have it right away.

Very true, 4G still needs to become widespread... It's useless to me right now. But by the time the iPhone 6 comes out I suspect it will be a lot better.

Not waiting because there is no guarantee that Verizon will get it in June. And even if they do bring 5 out I would wait months before buying one so they could work out any kinks first.

big debate for me to.
3g dont even work right in my location 20 min west of cleveland lol so no way will 4g work right and why should i pay more for it or have it capped.
idk i am going to try it out for 14 days and decide then.

I think the availability of the 4G LTE is the key here. If you are in one of the major markets which will get 4G LTE this year, yes I agree you might want to wait to see what the iPhone 5 holds. However, if you are in a rural area like myself and Verizon themselves has said it will be a 2 year roll out for 4G LTE to replace the entire country, then the iPhone 4 is worth the 2 yr contract. The timing just seems to work out.
The other points the media is trying to make is the limited out of country coverage and cannot web browse and talk at the same time. Come on folks, unless you are an international business person does the limited foreign country coverage matter? When it comes to the talk and web browse simultaneously, how many of us really do that? I know a dozen or so people on the AT&T network and none of them have talked to me on the phone and said hang on, I'm web browsing!

I have had the iPhone when it first came out...all the way up to the 3Gs... but couldn't take AT&T..so stuck with Verizon.... so now that the iPhone is now on Verizon...I had to order the first one...and when the iPhone 5 comes to Verizon...I will order that one too...

I say that the 5 won't be much of a differnce than the 4. The first 3 gens were very similar....battery upgrade and better cell network ( that was about At&t and not just the phone, they just made it compatible). I only see the antenna being fixed and maybe a better processor.
Sometimes it only takes 4 times to get it right.

Apple doesn't jump on new technology until late in the game.
My predictions:
iPhone 5
- Has the paypass thing where you can just wave phone to pay
- Dual processor
- Improved antenna
iPhone 6
- 4G
And by the time iPhone 6 is out, my contract for the iPhone 4 will be up.
