BOGUS 5$ MONTHY PROMO IPHONE 12 MINI

Received a text yesterday for iPhone 12 mini. 5$ A month with trade in for two years. The promo doesn’t work. It’s only offering 412$ discount, which is 15$ a month. Called and chatted 10 times. Company has no answer. And the promo is still there. 250 billion dollar company and they are clueless. I emailed the executive VP of marketing.

It’s on my home page. But it only discounts $412, which is $12 a month. It’s been this way since Thursday, when I received the text offer. Others have received it too as per one person I spoke to on the phone. It’s really disappointing that Verizon hasn’t corrected this issue all weekend and would treat its customers this way. I don’t know if it’s customized just for me, the person I spoke with acknowledged that Verizon sent out a text blast Thursday

Judging by others experience the promotion offer change by who you ask and only applies if they want it to i.e the person who told you this offer was mistakenly wrong and you don't quality pay more etc kinda like when you ask a tech question and get 3 different answers from others

It's posted on their website and the company sent out a text blast to its customers. The bottom line is the advertised deal cannot be purchased/made via the internet.

I got the same message on my phone.  Called back on my phone.  Got an agent that didn't know about it but got someone that did and I got a new phone.  The agent wasn't aware of the deal and had to wait till he got someone that knew and could help us get the deal.

Cool. But how crazy is it that they advertise these deals that A, the deals don’t work on the internet and B, their employees don’t know about the deal!!!!!

I received this same promo and was able to find an agent online to honor it.  It was supposed to be a xmas gift however, the Iphone 8 I was using just stopped working and wouldn't accept a charge.  This happened immediately after I picked up my new phone.  Please help as I would like the old phone to work or at the very least use it as a back-up

It's not bogus...it's a scam perpetrated by Verizon.  I did the deal exactly as the small print said, and it's April and I still don't have my $579 credit.  They tell you to wait 2 billing cycles for it to arrive in hopes you just forget about it.
