I've been using Call Filter with success previously on an iPhone 7 and now an XS. Is there an "add to whitelist" option? If not, it would be a useful feature for numbers that you know are safe yet they are not contacts the you would necessarily ever call.

Shaffer_d,
I am glad to hear that you have had success with Call Filter in the past, and I want to see that continue. For these types of numbers you are referencing, are they numbers you are able to add to contacts, or perhaps have labeled as "not spam"? We do not want to see you missing calls that should not be filtered out.

Whitelist and labeling "not spam", either would suffice. Is there currently a way to label them "not spam"? If so, how?

Maybe you have to receive a call from the numbers to be able to 'whitelist' or mark them as 'not spam'.

Shaffer_d, from your phone, you can go to Settings> Phone> Blocked Contacts> and remove the number you wish to allow you to call your number.
Please let me know if that helps.

The OP was where is the whitelist? I'm looking for that as well. It seems the app allows us to add numbers to a blacklist ("blocklist"), but no way to take numbers that were incorrectly blocked and add them to a whitelist.
For example, my student's university was blocked by the "Potential Spam" filter - which is typically great, but has some exceptions (like any app). But the key to an effective filter is to be able to explicitly add numbers to the filter for block, and numbers to pass. It seems like this filter is only halfway done?

No, the call was automatically blocked by setting the "Auto-block" to Medium level. This call was from my student's school and thus I would like to ensure it reaches my phone next time.

+1 - I would like to see a whitelist feature in the call filter as well. I receive calls from time to time that are incorrectly marked Spam, such as from the office of my US Representative. This needs to be a feature in the basic call filter service.

I had call filter+ and finally just cancelled it and removed it from my phone. It was incorrectly blocking Zoom calls. I use Zoom for work purposes and get automated calls from Zoom to join meetings. I had the settings set to "high" and with this setting I would never even get the calls. I couldn't figure out a way to whitelist these numbers. Since it's important I receive these calls I just cancelled call filter since it was incorrectly marking these calls as Spam when they were in fact NOT spam.

BaxterTheKat,
I appreciate your feedback on this and we want to make sure we're always providing the right expectations for you. I want to clear a few things up though and set the right expectations for you. We take many things into account when looking at whether a call is likely spam. Automated calls are more likely to be spam in general and while that may not be the only factor here, it would make it more likely that a call gets a higher rating. I want to be clear though that we're not saying these calls are spam. We're saying that we think there is a high likelihood it could be. There's no way without answering a call to be completely sure it is spam. That's why we only go be likelihood. There will be some good calls that get labeled as likely spam and some spam calls that are labeled as likely fine. The goal is to identify as many calls as possible as closely as we can. If that setting wasn't working for you there is an option to turn down what level things block at or even turn blocking of calls off and just see the likelihood of being spam before answering.

When will you implement a whitelist? I only want people in my contacts to ring my phone. The rest that are not clearly spam can go to voice mail.

Managing who is allowed to call you is an important thing, Tom1361. It is challenging to "catch" every spam call and diver it from ringing to your phone. You mentioned that you only want to accept calls from those who are in your contact list. Many devices have this option. What is the make and model of your device?
