Can't log into Verizon App / Account

I just upgraded to the iphone 12 and when I try to log into the Verizon App i get an error message that says --- device is not eligible for SMS and you do not have your email ID set up. It also gives an 800 number to call.
Every associate I've talked to can't seem to solve the problem. I've uninstalled... reinstalled.. signed out...
I am able to get SMS and do have an email ID set up... any suggestions?

Never personally seen that issue and I've helped lots of people set up their My Verizon. Only I can think of is to toggle iMessage off and see if that helps. Kinda sounds like an Apple issue which is way I stick to Android.

thanks for the response! I tried the imessage toggle... no luck... Funny because I see threads on this issue on here with mostly Samsung
