Dropped Calls

Long time Verizon customer here and really have not had any issues until the last 7 months or so. I have had continuous problems since December 2022 with calls dropping, not being able to hear callers and callers not hearing me. Sometimes it is impossible to make a call. I have repeatedly called to complain and have been sent a network extender, had new SIM cards installed in both iPhones (XR and 11). It's the same thing every time I call.
This has become a serious issue. Really hope I don't have to call for emergency services only to have my call not go through or be dropped. I am not the only Verizon customer with this problem in my area. I just want to be able to get the service I am paying for. It's ridiculous. Unfortunately, due to the area I live in I'm pretty much locked in as a customer.
Verizon, how about sending someone to check out the nearest tower to see if there's an issue or if an upgrade is needed. Something. Anything. Please.

Hey, loracp1212, we appreciate your tenure with Verizon, and regret that you've been having trouble over the last 7-months with your service. We can certainly look into the area and see what is happening. Based on what you've described and what we have sent out as a solution (Network Extender) it sounds like our network team is aware of the opportunities in the area. What is the nearest cross streets and city where this issue is happening? What type of home internet servicee are you using? Are you still having issues while connected to the network extender?

Nearest cross street is Woodleigh Rd., Knotts Island, NC 27950. We have Cox for internet. Yes, still having issues while connected to network extender.

Exactly the same experience here in Spokane Valley, WA 99206 same house 24 years with good to great service until this last year, no real help from all the calls and setting suggestions, ready to try another carrier just out of curiosity or desperation.
Verizon sent us an extender it doesn’t always connect to our phones but it helps a bit when you are connected, 😢

Hello Gang!
I have been having the same problem with my iphone 11 since about April 2023. It started just after an IOS update from Apple. Went to Apple Store today, only for the Tech to tell me the calls drop due to VPN being activated (on). The calls were only dropped when I held the phone up to face. The VPN was NOT THE PROBLEM! After checking some threads, I believe I may have the answer. I never had dropped calls when on speakerphone, or using my earphones!
So, the problem was in that one update back in the spring! It seems that Apple introduced some new SIRI settings on the IOS.
Here is what I found!
Go to setting - Click SIRI & SEARCH - CLICK "CALL HANG UP / TURN OFF
THEN TO "ACCESSIBILITY" click "VOICEOVER" - than AUDIO- then TURN OFF "AUTO SELECT SPEAKER ON CALL"
Two other "victims" of apple IOS updates claim success. I was able to hold a 18 minute call between my homeline and my Iphone 11!
Thanks APPLE!
