I have 6 siblings and 4 in-laws. We had a string of texts going about my sick mother and for some reason I was dropped from the conversation. No one is/was blocked on my phone. Why would this happen??

Oh, that's no good! Was this the only time that happened? Did the other phones still show your name listed in the group? Are you able to send or receive group messages now?

I was able to establish a new group message that picked up where I had left off but from what I understand, I still appeared on the other phones as part of the group.
There have been other times that I get dropped off the group message when it includes my husband and step - daughter. My husband and I have iPhones and she has a droid, so I always thought that was the reason but now I don't know.

Thanks for clarifying PhilCox,
Let's see if we can determine what caused this. Do you know if anyone else has ever gotten kicked off group texts? Does it happen only when one specific person is part of the group conversation, such as your step-daughter? You can try clearing out your messages, and restarting to see if that improves your group messaging experience.
Thank you,

Not aware of anyone else getting kicked off of group texts.
No, not only with specific people - happens with several unique groups.
I've cleared out old messages to see if it works better.
Would still like to know why it is happening!
