I saw the free phone plan for the iphone 12 and all i need is to pay for one line as a new customer which i am but what happen to the phone after i dont pay for another month, would it be locked or mine forever. is it a prepaid phone?

JAcksma, it is indeed a sweet deal. The device does require a 36 month Device Payment Agreement to enjoy that full promotional value. Once the 36 months is reached, there is no balance remaining on the phone and it is indeed yours and may be used how and where you wish. Should you decide that you wish to cancel service prior to that 36 months, you would be billed the balance for the phone as the promotional deal would end but the device would still be yours. Our phones are locked to Verizon Wireless service for 60 days, after they are used on a Verizon Wireless account in a Verizon Wireless coverage area fort his time, they are automatically unlocked.
