Having a problem syncing music and I-tunes...please help!!!

Hello,

I am new to this and will try to explain it best as I can. From what I understand about syncing, the music on my Iphone will sync to the music library once I plug my phone up. It does this automatically. That is fine and what I want it to do.

However, for some reason, I have 173 songs in my library and I want all of them to sync to my phone, but only 135 of them are doing so. I don't know where the problem lies.

Please help.

Thanks.

It could be a couple of things.  Make sure that the songs that are not syncing have the check marks by them.  If they do and they still aren't syncing, when your iphone is plugged into your computer open itunes and select your iphone and it will give you different options with it.  Select Music and make sure that you have selected sync all checked items.

Let me know if this helps.

Does an error message show that says why certain songs can't be synced? Sometimes it can be because the songs aren't authorized on the computer (if some came from a different iTunes account for example). Try playing one of the non-syncing songs in iTunes to make sure it works. Also, check the size of your files. Depending on who the songs were imported into iTunes it's possible that the files take up more space than your iPhone has available. Example would be if all of your songs were ripped from CD's and were large WAV files. If that's possible try converting the songs in iTunes to a smaller bitrate. If none of that helps you may need to try restarting or resetting your iPhone....or maybe even restoring it. Not sure if this will apply to you but it can't hurt to look at it. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1474

Also if it is unsupported format such as a WMA file from a Zune account it will not synch.
